Queenstown (part iii)

The last leg of my Queenstown trip required a little less adrenaline. To my surprise, I felt the effects of skydiving the day after. Fatigue and dizziness are common side effects. For a nice relaxing day, I decided to rent bikes with one of my friends, Dani. All along the perimeter of the lake is a bike path. We rode alongside the water and were able to see the mountains and the beautiful city from a different perspective. It was the perfect way to spend the day.

The following day was filled with driving. I visited the Milford Sound in Fiordland. This has been described to me as a "must see" in New Zealand. The long, curvy drive made me question my decision to see this multiple times along the trip.

And of course, it was worth it. The day was rainy which for any other activity would have dampened the day. But when it rains in the Milford Sound, it creates millions of waterfalls and it looks like a fairytale. I took a boat ride through the sound and were able to see all parts of it: the different waterfalls, baby seals, and just the overall enormity of it. It was slightly claustrophobic to think that I was literally in the middle of nowhere.
