Waiheke Island

MOM AND DAD CAME TO VISIT!!!

Our first trip was to visit Waiheke Island which is known for their vineyards. It is an island off the coast of Auckland, so we took a quick ferry ride over. It was a bit rainy but that didn't dampen our mood. I was so happy to see them!

There are so many different vineyards on the island but we chose to go to Stonyridge. There you can taste wines and have a bite to eat and enjoy the view of the green winery. We ordered our wines, each getting a different one. The lady who worked there was not too enthused with her job and forgot what she poured. So the three of us sat in a circle sipping each one trying to guess what it was. Confused and amused, we ordered full drinks and a spread of food for lunch. The antipasto was everything I love in the world and more. It was so nice to sit and eat and laugh!
